Some weddings build slowly. Marina and Sam's was moving from the first chord — a downtown Kamloops celebration where the ceremony, dinner and dance floor each needed their own sound, their own pacing, and one seamless thread through it all.
Jesse ran the day from behind the decks. Ceremony audio was dialed so the vows carried to the back row without a hint of feedback; dinner music sat underneath conversation instead of competing with it; and the timeline — entrances, speeches, first dance — moved without a single awkward gap.
Then the floor opened. This was a crowd spanning four decades of music taste, and the trick to a packed floor isn't playing everything — it's reading which tables are ready for what, and when. Throwbacks pulled the parents in, current hits kept the wedding party moving, and by the last hour every generation was on the same floor.
Marina told us afterward that multiple guests called it the best wedding reception they'd been to in years. That's the whole job: a day that sounds perfect and a night that never loses momentum.
