Spirit Ridge Resort Weddings
Desert-meets-lake weddings in Osoyoos, at the southern end of the Okanagan — the most distinctive landscape of any venue we work, and the furthest from home.
The spaces
Where the day happens at Spirit Ridge Resort
- Desert grounds
- Sagebrush and rock landscape unlike anywhere else in BC.
- Lakeside areas
- Osoyoos Lake shoreline settings.
- Resort facilities
- Indoor reception space with a genuine weather fallback.
How we work it
What we've learned here
Osoyoos is the hottest place in Canada in mid-summer and heat affects equipment as well as guests — we plan for direct sun on gear, which is not a consideration at most Interior venues. The desert landscape is open and exposed, so ceremony audio needs real power. As our southernmost venue it's also a genuine travel commitment, which we factor into scheduling rather than treating as a normal Saturday.
Planning notes
Three things worth knowing
- Osoyoos is the hottest place in Canada in midsummer — routinely 38°C and above in July. An evening ceremony here isn't an aesthetic choice, it's guest welfare.
- It's roughly four hours from Kamloops, which makes it our furthest regular venue and a genuine travel booking rather than a standard Saturday.
- Desert light in the last hour before sunset is unlike anything else in the province. If photos matter to you, that hour should anchor your entire timeline.

FAQ
Spirit Ridge Resort FAQ
On select dates, yes. It's the southern edge of our coverage and a genuine travel commitment from Kamloops, so early conversations about availability matter.
It affects guests and equipment both. We plan for gear in direct sun, which isn't a factor at most Interior venues, and we'd strongly encourage an evening ceremony for everyone's comfort.
It offers outdoor ceremony settings in a desert-and-lake landscape with resort facilities behind them, which gives you both an exceptional setting and a practical fallback.
